Burg Groep BV, Heerhugowaard, and Fluvia Holding BV, Rotterdam, have reached an agreement to transfer ownership of all shares in Maasinvest Groep BV, the 100 per cent owner of Maastank International BV, to Fluvia Holding BV.
This means that Fluvia became the sole owner of Maastank with effect from 15 March 2006. Located at the heart of the Port of Rotterdam, Maastank is a tank terminal for edible oils and high-value oleochemical products. It consists of 37 tanks with a total capacity of 30,000 cubic metres and a permanent staff of eight. The terminal also features two jetties, a larger one for seagoing vessels and a smaller one for inland barges.
Maastank is a fitting and welcome addition to the Fluvia stable. The new combination of a tank terminal and a "vegoil" fleet of 16 tanker barges puts the company in a very strong position to offer its customers high-quality transport, storage and transhipment of specialist vegetable oils and oleochemicals.
